Manuela Herdrich
In my artistic work I do not pursue a documentary or narrative approach, my goal or desire is rather to start a photo-artistic reflection on the emotional components of perception by means of different artistic procedures such as abstracting motifs and the procedure of blurring. The recipient is invited by my pictures, for example in the form of contemplation, to think about his own perception of reality. The majority of my artistic work has left its similarity and reference character behind and thus offers the viewer numerous possibilities for interpretation. However, I would like to highlight Marta Hoepffner, Piet Mondrian and Lucio Fontana, who have influenced my work in particular.
